After much hard work, and some trouble with the editor, my novella FrostBite has finally arrived! I hope you'll take a look when it goes live on Amazon early tommorow morning.
Cover Art For FrostBite
As always, this is the Blog for independent authors looking for some attention for their work and of course for me to shamelessly flaunt my own titles! I'm kidding about that last part of course, or am I?
Have a nice night!
This is the blog for up and coming indie author interviews and updates on what I'm currently working on.

Update
Echoes of The Sentinel is almost around 10,000 words now, not much, but the beginning is still being finished up. I'm taking my time with this one and I'm only going to publish it when I'm completely and thoroughly satisfied with it.
Also, I've been writing my second book of poetry, which is yet to be named, on and off. When I get a sufficient amount of content, enough to justify a 99 cent book, I will publish it on the Amazon Kindle.
Continue to check this blog for new updates on what I'm working on or send me an interview request if you're an author trying to get noticed!

Interview: Katy Hanna
What is the name of your book and what's it about?

It was a pleasure interviewing you Katy! Her book is available now on Amazon.com: http://tinyurl.com/6e5467o
Breakdown is a novel about a man’s journey to find lost friendship and love in a post-pandemic, post-technological breakdown society. It’s a book about the people first, and only marginally about the world they live in. But the world has shaped them, to some extent. Chris, the main character, has watched his wife and baby die in the pandemic, and travels home to Britain from New York to see if any of his family there is still alive. Also weighing on his mind is his former musical partner, Brian, with whom he’d had a falling out years before. Chris has put up a wall around his feelings. He has to learn to grieve and let go, to open his heart and learn to trust. Can he manage to let himself be happy again?
How did you come up with the idea for your book?
How long did the writing process take you for this particular book?
How long have you been writing?
I started writing in college in 1982. I stopped for many years to focus on my business of making costumes. I got back into writing about seven years ago, when the inspiration for this book hit me and I had to work on it. During lulls working on the book, I started a few other projects. So I have some other things to work on now this one is done.
Does anyone/anything inspire your writing? If so who/what?
My usual inspiration is dreams. I'll have a short, vivid dream that has the framework of a scene or story. Then I percolate that idea while I'm working in my sewing room. I write it down. Percolate some more. I often listen to music that fits the mood, no lyrics, while I'm thinking things through. Some of my major plot points have come from dreams.
How did you come up with the idea for your book?
Two things. One was an incredibly vivid dream I had many years ago. Just a man walking with his son through a city I recognized (Bath, England). But it was clear that things had changed. The people around them were dishevelled and ragged, the buildings were boarded up. That gave me the post-apocalyptic setting. The second was a complicated friendship I'd had, then lost, then mended. I knew how such a thing could eat away at someone inside, so I decided to use that.
How long did the writing process take you for this particular book?
I've been working on this book for close to seven years. I had bits and pieces of it for awhile, then worked to fill it out for some time, then set it aside for over a year. My New Year's resolution for 2011 was to finish it, finally. And get it published. And, amazingly, I did that.

Interview Requests
I hope you all enjoyed my interview with Cyrus Keith and if you're an author looking to also be interviewed just hit me up with an e-mail at Brandon-514@hotmail.com.
I'm also announcing a new book of poetry I am also working on. It's title is still in the works and so is the book itself, but I thought I would take this opportunity to formally announce that my second book of poetry is in the works. I'm still hard at work on FrostBite's sequel, Echoes of the Sentinel, while my book FrostBite is being ironed out by me and my editor.

Interview: Cyrus Keith
Hey readers! Today I have an interview from Cyrus Keith, author of soon to be released "Becoming NADIA" and it's still in the works sequels. Read on for more on the book and what Cyrus Keith will be writing down the line.
What’s the name of your book and why did you decide to write it?
An excellent first question. The title is Becoming NADIA, and I wrote it because it threatened to (DELETED) my (DELETED) and melt my brain in a most grotesque and unprofessional manner if I didn't let it out.
What is your book about?
There's only one thing that pretty, popular TV reporter Nadia Velasquez is missing: her memory from before the explosion that killed everyone else in the room, including the President of Nigeria. But from the moment she meets FBI agent Jon Daniels, all hell breaks loose. Friends turn into deadly enemies overnight, and no one can be truly trusted.

But from the moment she meets FBI agent Jon Daniels, all hell breaks loose. Friends turn into deadly enemies overnight, and no one can be truly trusted.
When Jon and Nadia investigate further, they discover the living terror that is the truth behind Nadia's existence, a truth that could mean the death of millions.
Was your book inspired by anything or anyone?
If it was, I'm afraid I would have to wrap my head in aluminum foil and hide under my couch. no, seriously, I had this dream one night where one scene just hit me with such a strong emotional force, it woke me up. The basis of the story was born then, and I just fleshed it out a little more.
Do you plan on writing a sequel?
Oh, most assuredly. In fact, it's under contract with the same publisher who picked up Becoming NADIA, and its title is Unalive.
How long did the book take you to finish?
Hard to say. The rough draft poured out of me like water, and was done 55 days after i first sat down to write it. Polishing and marketing kind of folded together into one conglomerated mess that took three more years. but I'd say that if I could actually separate the time, it would be about eighteen months.
And finally, what can we expect from you next?
Becoming NADIA is available April 1st from Muse It Up Publishing: tinyurl.com/4kkf5ox. As I've mentioned above, the sequel, Unalive, is due out in August of this year. the third installment is currently in the works, and is titled Critical Mass.
Thanks for having me, Brandon. Feel free to check out the other great titles from museituppublishing.com.
I'm glad to have had you Keith and I can't wait to hear more about "Unalive" and "Critical Mass"!
So, be sure to check out Keith's exciting book "Becoming NADIA" and his sure to be great sequels.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Happy St. Patrick's Day readers! I'm taking a small brake from my writing but "FrostBite" is well on it's way and so is work on it's sequel. "FrostBite" should be landing on Kindles everywhere sometime this spring/summer, while news on "Echoes of The Sentinel" (the sequel to FrostBite) will continually be delivered to this very blog in the coming months and weeks.
Once again, happy St. Patrick's Day!

Book Update
Today I have a book update for you on FrostBite 2! FrostBite 1 will be published soon after the editing is all finished but I've been hard at work on making FrostBite 2 for a little while now.
Now, your probably thinking FrostBite 2 was not the most creative choice for a title and I agree that's why it's not the title. Instead the title is going to be "Echoes of the Setinel", more details on "Echoes of the Sentinel" will be released soon after the release of FrostBite.
As always, keep an eye on this blog for more info regarding all things FrostBite and my other works!

A Few More Pages...
FrostBite (my action/adeventure with elements of science fiction novel) may still be in the editing phase but that doesn't mean I haven't started work on it's sequel. I actually wrote a few pages of it yesterday and it's coming along great! I'll reveal the title soon enough!
